Association of Bakery Ingredient Manufacturers

Join ABIM

Do you feel concerned when faced with the pressing issue of the day be it new European or UK government legislation and regulations, food scares or rising costs? Could you benefit from sharing your concerns?

abim members meet four times each year to discuss current issues impacting on the industry and agree common action to influence outcomes. Membership means you can find out what others are doing and get answers from those whose job it is to know and advise.

abim also gives members the opportunity to influence developments at a European level through our membership of FEDIMA. Members have the opportunity to network with European colleagues at the Annual General Assembly, hosted by a different association each year.

Member testimonials

"As members of ABIM we benefit from early insights into legislative changes being proposed or adopted on technical aspects which may affect our business or products. The technical committee provides the opportunity to both input  and lobby collectively through ABIM and Fedima to government and other bodies. The membership consists of the leading bakery ingredient manufacturers and the knowledge, experience and networking opportunity available to members is unrivalled in this sector. Without reservation I recommend ABIM to any eligible manufacturer in this sector."
Ivor McKane (CSM Ingredients Ltd)

"I have been associated with ABIM and previously in its former guise of BATA for some 15 years. I have found it useful for providing technical advice and the ability for the industry to join together to lobby when there are issue that affect us jointly. I also find the networking particularly advantageous both from a business prospective but also from a personal point of view as well. I would encourage anyone thinking of becoming a member of the association to seriously consider it as it will benefit your business."
Andrew Pollard (AB Mauri UK & Ireland)

“Membership of ABIM brings three main benefits;

  •         Participation in an industry specific network
  •         Access to FDF, representing the UK food industry at national level on all topics which   may affect UK based manufacturers
  •         Access to  Fedima, representing the bakery ingredient sector at the European level

The combination of these makes membership of ABIM essential for any company serious about being a supplier of bakery ingredients.”
Paul Morrow (British Bakels)
