| abim are members of Bakery Excellence, which aims to promote training and sponsorship opportunities across the bakery industry. Every year, abim and the Worshipful Company of Bakers offer scholarship or training opportunities to students, trainees and experienced craftspeople within the bakery industry. |

| The recipient of the abim award has the opportunity to attend an expenses paid three day course at the prestigious Ecole Lenotre in Paris. The course includes basic techniques for French pastry and its applications, savoury and sweet Viennese pastries and traditional French bread doughs. |
